Mahum Deer

Mahum Qadeer is a multidisciplinary artist and designer working at the intersection of real and virtual spaces, using immersive tech to reframe how we engage with history, memory, and design.

Her work explores inaccessible spaces—historical fashion runways or decaying architecture in war zones—by reconstructing them through digital environments, interactive installations, and AR/VR experiences. She’s interested in how technology can make us see the physical world differently—not replace it, but shift the way we engage with what’s already there.

She’s exhibited at New York Fashion Week, taught at the University of Maryland, and worked with Snapchat and Johns Hopkins. For her, technology isn’t just a tool—it’s a way of preserving, distorting, and questioning the spaces we inhabit.
