Keertana Gunnam

I am Keertana, a Telugu South-Asian artist from Washington DC, now based in NYC.
I like to use acrylic, pencil, watercolor, and digital art. My artistic journey began with my travels to India, where landscapes, patterns, and culture laid the foundations for my creative vision.

This collection is called "Sirimalle". It is a celebration of beauty, colors, and art inspired by my heritage. It weaves in tales of girlhood, community, tradition, and love. Sirimalle means jasmine in Telugu, a symbol of grace and beauty. For generations, jasmine flowers have been woven into the fabric of girlhood, a tradition passed down from mother to daughter.
Through Sirimalle, I want to honor this and capture the delicate elegance and timeless charm of jasmine—a floral emblem of femininity and cultural pride.
