Akbar Reid is a Trinidadian-American Artist born and raised in New York State. Artistically, he's self taught and trained, and began his professional art career in the year 2022. Academically, he holds a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science; attained while also participating in collegiate athletics. Currently, in the opening stages of his professional artistic career, you'll notice a strong selection of earth tones, earth themes, surrealism, and abstract patterns in his works. He uses creative mediums such as painting, sculpture, and mixed media to illustrate challenging ideas, and express intriguing metaphors and stories with his artwork.
